Save the Flowage Campaign Your Annual Gift Protects the Flowage.Eurasian watermilfoil now covers 253 acres of the Minong Flowage. After two consecutive DNR grant denials, the MFA is funding treatment entirely through member donations. Phase 1 — proposed, targeted herbicide treatment to demonstrate efficacy — begins in June 2026. We need to raise approximately $200,000 to be adequately funded to attack the milfoil—including potential challenges with permitting, plan-execution, and contingencies. Every dollar supports the MFA's number-one priority for 2026: our Milfoil Fight. We give many thanks to members and businesses who donated in 2025—those funds have given us a head-start.
